“Music for paths that start”

The two artists will unite for one week with their instruments, which are most familiar to them, and join forces, with the aim of creating a set of themes for final presentation. These two musicians are from different generations, but with shared musical predilections and aesthetics they will try to find a common path.

Suso Saiz is an imaginative and subtle guitarist, a creator of unmistakable “hypnotics”.  The artist goes far beyond music and sound expanding into theatre, visual arts, poetry, installations with collaborations with museums, chefs, museum chefs, architecture studios, among others. Suso goes from music, television to films, which allows him to have a wide spectrum of valences.

He has published more than 20 albums: the most recent are Odisea (2016), Rainworks (2017), Nothing Is Objective (2019) and Between No Things (2020) with Suzanne Kraf, all these albums have Dutch label Music From Memory.  Suso Saiz was also a founding member of Orquestra de las Nubes, Suspended Memories and Trash of Dreams.  The musician has produced over 100 records and received both national and international awards. He has collaborated with artists such as Jorge Reyes, Carles Santos, Steve Roach, Michael Brook, Diego Vasallo, Glen Velez, Stephan Micus, Jan Bang, Arve Henriksen, Guo Yue, Robert Rich, Hans-Joachim Roedelius, Wagner Tiso, Salif Keita, Roger Wolfe, Gigi Masin, Suzanne Kraft, Christian Fennesz, Francisco López, among others.

André Gonçalves (PT) operates in several artistic areas, namely visual arts, music, installation and performance, and is recognised for his work as creator of the modular synthesizer brand ADDAC System.

André Gonçalves has numerous exhibitions and festivals in more than 20 countries, all over the world.
