Os filhos de Abel – A SHOW-WALK THROUGH THE CITY OF VISEU
STUDENTS OF THE THEATER AND CINEMA SUPERIOR SCHOOL | Coordination PATRÍCIA PORTELA
Walking, even though it is not the physical construction of a space, implies a transformation of the place and its meanings. The physical presence of the human being (in movement) in an unmapped space – and the varying perceptions he receives from crossing it – is a way of transforming the landscape.

Teatro Viriato hosts the final project of 10 students from the 3rd year of the Interpretation course at the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema de Lisboa in an almost invisible show. Walking through the streets of Viseu, the story of a woman will be traced in the city, through her walk, arm in arm with the spectators.
Walking, or strolling, is precisely the starting point for this performance. A group of performers invites the public to follow them on a walk where everything happens: people fall in love, musical groups improvise, cats dance; buses, cars and passers-by are part of the score and the unpredictable is the fuel of performance; spectators, performers and landscape get confused, drink glasses, exchange lives, cross paths, love each other, meet and follow joint or opposite directions
