Ece Canlı is an artist, music and researcher. Born in Turkey, she lives in Porto, Portugal. In her artistic and vocal practice, she explores the liminal states of agonized and demonized bodies, narrative versus factual, body and mental delinking, and extralinguistic expressions through extended vocal techniques. She collaborated with several artists, musicians and choreographers internationally and Creole sound bands for performances, works and video works. Currently composes and plays in NOOITO (duo with the harpist Angélica V. Salvi), in LIVE LOW (Porto band created by Pedro Augusto), in COBRA’CORAL (vocal trio with Catarina Miranda and Clélia Colonna) and in the solo debut VOX FLORA, VOX FAUNA, among other creations.
