As an aspirant artist what can I say about my work and me? Actually I never thought about it until recently, maybe due to my growth in the area, and perhaps because of my own insights about the subjects that I tend to lean on when I’m about to commence a new project.Over the years I started to notice that I had a tendency towards the performative arts, visual arts and had started to develop a very great curiosity and love for the concept, and the line of thought behind it, it has brought me great pleasure over the years leaning towards the idea of concept, maybe because I find it rather fascinating how can a line of thought or just an idea of something can result in a work of art!I see myself has a thinking artist, I like to take my time on the idea before I start applying the various materials or media.I like to experiment, and I tend to mix a more performative language with an artistic object or painting, it had occurred the use of photography and video as well, so I don’t choose an area, I simply do what I feel like it in the moment, sure I have my tendencies and they are clear at the first glimpse through my work, but I never settle with one way of doing things.I’m also a very emotional artist, I give a great deal of myself to my works, I let the viewer know me by the minute they see my projects. I like to work the autobiography subject, it’s something that I relate and some of my big inspirations worked the self and their fears, insecurities, pains (Louise Bourgeois, Sophie Calle, Cindy Sherman). I know it can seem a bit self-centred and narcissist but I find a comic way of exposing myself and my emotions, I don’t want to unburden in the way media and celebrities do it in the gossip magazine, I want the viewer to relate to me and my feelings, kind of like a thought «I’ve been there, I used to feel that way, I can relate myself with the artist», that sort of thoughts are what I’m looking for when I present my work, and it’s just who I am as a young women. I’m emotional, sensitive, lazy, a dreamer, I have a great sense of humour and a I am a creative girl, and all I want is to be honest with myself and with my art, as long as I respect my values and beliefs I’ll be doing all sorts of different projects with different approaches and materials.
